On Montparnasse with a back staircase that Hemingway would use on his way to visit Gertrude Stein. He wrote about it in a Moveable Feast & when I was an au pair garΓ§on I used that staircase as a shortcut when I would walk my children to school in the morning. And I would take my charges to the Petit Jardin de Luxembourgβ¦from La Coupole you could walk up Montparnasse to Le Petit Jardin and then stroll through the whole Luxembourg Gardens.
