Well, indeed. Creature is probably a better description.
18 months ago this was an unusable space which lay at 45ยฐ. After a lot of hard work (and expense) it's finally beginning to look like a real garden. I'm enjoying it immensely. One needs all the pleasure one can get at the moment.
Anyone in the Chelmsford area on 28th March, I'm coming over to be the baritone soloist in the Brahms Requiem. It would be lovely to see you!
Wonderful.
Italy has now been dragged into Trump's madness.
I see that stock markets have plunged the world over as oil goes over $100 a barrel. If Trump plays true to form I expect he'll buy millions of shares, declare an end to the war and then make a mint when the markets rise. He is a truly disgusting example of humanity.
This is truly sick.
I'd take anything!
Sadly there is always collateral damage from war. If you think an independent Scotland can avoid it you're deluded.
As far as the illegal war itself is concerned, I just wish that embolism would hurry up and finish Trump.
What a complete and utter prick. Let's hope he ends up rotting in a Saudi jail.
Where is that embolism???
As you say, it depends on which version of PR you adopt. Since we already use STV in the UK it's the most likely form to be adopted for parliamentary elections and by-elections take place under it. Look at the Scottish Parliament or the Senedd.
Well Trump can f... right off.
What he means is that the US is not what it was.

This Labour Party is no-longer what we used to think Labour was about or for. It's more right wing than Heath's Tory government. No wonder people are so fed up with it.
I'm not sure whether I should say what I really want to say but it involves a four letter Anglo Saxon word, followed by Trump, Netanyahu and, I fear, the UK government.
Blair's reputation never recovered after Iraq. I think the same is about to happen to Starmer.
"that's the way it is"?? Of course, it never was for him: the draft dodger.
It's not true democracy when you have to engage in tactical voting, voting for a party you don't really want to vote for, because you really hate a third party. There are so many constituencies where one's vote is worthless. I have twice lived in safe Tory seats where my vote counted for nothing.
The electoral system HAS to change or the UK's democracy, such as it is, is finished.
Equal Marriage was a LibDem policy. Cameron jumped on the bandwagon because, at the time, he saw it as working in favour of his Tory modernisation project. Of course, that then totally backfired when he fucked up over Brexit.
Check election results. Votes for Labour, LibDems, Greens and SNP have always been greater than for the Tories and Reform. It's FPTP which consistently returns Tory governments.
The majority of British voters are progressive. All GE election results since the 50s prove that, if you analyse them.
Labour is no-longer progressive so voters are going Green or LibDem. A LibDem/Green coalition in 29 no longer strikes me as impossible.
I think this will change as more and more people vote LibDem or Green across the country, abandoning Labour.
No they haven't! They're the only ones holding the government to account. Do you take any notice of what actually goes on in Parliament??
Exactly.
2/2 to the result this morning shows he's learnt nothing.
Now that people are no-longer willing to vote for a genocide supporting authoritarian party like Labour, they're voting for real progressive parties instead. A LibDem-Green coalition in 2029, perhaps?
That means nothing. More relevant is that the progressive vote in Gorton was around 2/3rds. The fascist one was just over a quarter. The LibDems have never had a presence there and didn't really campaign. The Tories though...
Labour has lost it and is still not listening (Starmer's response 1/2
Like Trump, he works for Putin.
He said it was a Muslim and Woke coalition. Isn't that how elections work?
But alongside that, they are far too authoritarian, too lily livered on Gaza and too unpleasant on migration. It's not just about personal advantage; it's about a moral philosophy, which Labour has ditched.
