Salt water laced with cancer-causing chemicals, a byproduct of oil and gas drilling, keeps shooting out of the ground in Oklahoma.
Experts say it means even more wastewater is spreading underground, poisoning the state’s water supply.

DHS repeatedly said that an aggressive apartment raid in Chicago last fall was prompted by intel on a gang takeover.
Documents show the real story behind the raid was to target alleged squatters — with the landlord's blessing.
Wow. The brazen audacity of these folks is something.
Pentagon mood: “intense and paranoid.”
Turns out lighting a regional powder keg has consequences. Air defenses draining. Retaliation spreading. Leaders worried it could spiral.
But hey — I was told this was “strength.” Looks more like geopolitical roulette with live ammo.
Honestly, if you don't listen to Strict Scrutiny, you're missing out. I have learned so much from them since I started listening a couple years ago.
An Intercept analysis finds that every single Board of Peace member state has been rebuked for human rights violations.
💥 No president in the modern era has ordered more military strikes against as many different countries as Donald Trump.
He's attacked 7 nations, three of which had never been targeted by U.S. military strikes. He authorized more individual air strikes in 2025 than Biden did in four years.

I just got this figured out and I am doing this quick with one graph for the age group 65-84, I will post basic statistics for all age groups below. But the graph shows a strong relationship between this factor score in effect measuring the religious right. for age 0, r = 0.79 b = 23.8 a = 567.22 for age 1-19, r = 0.73 b = 1.42 a = 31/84 for age 20-64 r = 0.85 b = 21.03 a = 448.3 for age 65-84, the graph, r = .90 b = 95.2 a = 2954 for age 85+ r = 0.33 b = 95.09 a = 15262.35 For those without statistical training the r = starting with the errors made in predicting dependent variable, here that is death rates, form the average. Calculate those absolute errors and add them up. The repeat the process using the regression equation, the a and b times X, here the factor score, and. calculating the errors in predicting the death rate. Then calculate the percent knowing. X reduced your errors in predicting Y. The a is the predicted Y when X = 0 and the b is the amount Y changes when this factor score, that is X in this case, is increased by one. I have finally found an affordable statistics package that includes factor analysis, JASP, so I can create a factor score summarizing the various measures of the right wing religious beliefs. Click ALT to see more. 🧪💡☠️ #Sociology #Health #Population #Demography

A politician’s job is to make the political case to voters. And few do it better than Rep. McGovern.
Mike Johnson just said if you are for reducing the deficit, this bill is for you.
The bill adds 3-4 trillion dollars to the deficit.
They just lie.
The most sobering part about becoming 1930’s Germany is realizing that no one is going to come here and liberate those being brutalized. If this historically inhumane regime is going to be overthrown, We The American People are going to have to do it.
More than 16 million Americans are at risk of losing their health care because Republicans in Congress are rushing to pass a bill that would cut federal funding for Medicaid and weaken the Affordable Care Act.
This is Nick Begich (R-Alaska). If he votes for the bill,
37,000 of his constituents lose access to their healthcare.
27,000 of his constituents lose access to their food assistance.
578 energy jobs in his district will disappear.
