its a "cozy game" issue. over in the snacko server we get it constantly, people expect "cozy games" to handhold them slowly through the game. if theyre presented with options for what to do its like they think theyre "supposed" to do all options at once instead of just...doing what they feel like...

it's really wild, i had a conversation with someone about like, epstein, that turned into being about pizzagate and when i said that wasnt real got "YOU THINK PEDOPHILES AREN'T REAL?" which was. an experience to de-escalate. not sure it went well tbh 🥹

i was going to handle this by spreading meal prep tasks out over the weekend more, but then i accidentally didnt do shit for the first three hours of the day yesterday and ended up running late for other stuff. so i only got groceries done (which! was important! just not everything i wanted)

trying a mix of talking myself through it to give myself positive reality checks and letting myself have frequent breaks to avoid feeling too burnt out... seems to be working?? i have my meal prep ready to assemble as well, which is Another Dreaded Task, so treading carefully here is key...

like, every piece of productivity and efficiency advice will point out that avoiding and dreading tasks will eat way more time and energy than just doing them. and it's so easy to go "psh easy for you to say" but unfortunately. they are correct. if only it was easier to push through 😔

it's amazing how, when you actually sit down and break down the tasks you're avoiding into a cute little checklist, they really aren't particularly long or involved. hating to do the tasks inflates the time estimate by quite a bit
