Getting some more required stations today in Glasgow, including the East Kilbride line!
This line has been recently electrified however there was a throwback to it's previous life this morning with a triple 156 on it๐ฅ

Pleasant day yesterday, getting several HSTs on a circular trip from Glasgow to Dundee and back as well as ticking the stations on the Fife Circle Route!
Headed towards Stranraer yesterday, a scenic route however the nice weather seen in England was not present here! Windchill of about 4ยฐ all day.
Still a nice line that's quite difficult to tick all the stations on it.
Wales came to an end, but I'm still on annual leave so it's time to head north.
First time picking it up from Birmingham International!
Cambrian Coast line complete!
Great few days away with @turboted.co.uk visiting every station on this wonderful line, with the sun being out for most of it too โ๏ธ
The best place on this line, Barmouth!
It's stunning and can even walk on the footpath next to the railway line over the bridge. So good.
An afternoon doubling back between a few request stops, and getting some more mega traction
The area around Fairbourne is amazing!
The narrow gauge isn't running today, but I need to come back here because it's so nice๐
Bore Da from Harlech!
Taken a lovely walk to Llandanwg already, via the stunning Harlech Castle and a very steep street.
The sun's come out just in time for a lovely sunset in Abererch!
Dw I'm caru Cymru๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ
Back into the UK, but still got more annual leave to go!
Into a very grey and drizzly Cymru for new some track and stations
Amsterdam, what a city!
Could walk for hours around those canals, but there's very good public transport too.
The short free ferry from Centraal to Noord was a particular highlight ๐ข
A great place๐
It's time for a bit of annual leave!
Starting off with a visit to ๐ณ๐ฑ, which is a new country for me. A smooth journey on E* to get me over here before riding on a Koplopper for a bit.
Following on from this, I made my way to the very nice city of Utrecht!
70% of stations โ
Getting some South Eastern stations done today, Elmstead Woods the best of them.
The station gardening team do an amazing job here, it's a hidden gem of a station!
All good things must come to an end and today I had to leave Scotland and head back south.
Started out of Inverness with a HST and a lovely run down the Highland Main Line. Then cleared the Edinburgh trams for the first time, taking in some Sunshine on Leith.
Spent a great few days ticking every station on the Far North Line!
Like all of the routes up here, it's really scenic :)
Also means every station North of the Central Belt complete! It's so good though up here, I'll need to come back up here again๐
Early start today in some absolutely dreadful conditions - worth it though for Golf Links and Balmossie station as they only get 3 trains a day!
After that, found some mega traction to head further north๐ฅ
Finished off yesterday with making the most of a couple of new services from the December TT change.
Firstly Lumos extension to Falkirk and Glasgow, and then the once a day route over the Winchburgh curve between Linlithgow and Dalmeny!
Back in Scotland once more for some stations๐
Starting with central belt stuff, and the Edinburgh-Glasgow line via Shotts. I thought this day might drag but I was completely wrong on that. It's a brilliant and scenic route to take between the two cities!
I can like London, sometimes.
Had a bit of time in Ryde before heading back on the Hover on Portsmouth. Odd but I liked it!
Then once onto the mainland I ticked the stations on the PDL on a very drizzly afternoon.
The Isle Of Wight - what a place! Absolutely love it here.
Caught a 484, which means I've now had a journey behind every type of UK type of train in passenger service โ
Interesting day today, went north to the Tyne Valley and arrived into Newcastle to a snow shower!
As soon as I went west though, the snow disappeared and I had a pleasant day out ticking all the stations on this line towards Carlisle.
The first couple of days in 2026 have seen my focus turn to the Avanti Settle and Carlisle diverts.
First a journey from Wigan to Carlisle this way and then a very cold wait at Ribblehead for some diverts over the viaduct. Very cold but worth it for some brilliant sunset views!
Great way to start the new year, with a long sprinter journey...
To round off 2025, some locos at Doncaster. Unfortunately my final train of the year was a class 150 though๐คฎ
Happy new year everyone!
Jacob gets it
Yes, very much right place at the right time!
Was a 150 on that same working today though.
Unusual sight at Birmingham New Street tonight, as 153 set AT04 ended up being paired to 158829 for 1D16 as far as Shrewsbury!
Quite a change to see this here compared to its usual habitat of the Welsh Countryside but no complaints from me about that ๐
