It turns you into a video game character almost, where if you're hit, the shroud takes the damage, and then so long as the shroud is dense enough, the damage is filled in from the remaining spirit matter and you look unharmed. It has to be torn apart first to actually harm the one inside.

The mages of my world have a technique they use called a "shroud" where they import spiritual matter into the physical world and encapsulate themselves in it to form a "battle form" around themselves. It looks very much like shapeshifting, for instance I might wrap myself in the form of Hades.

I had to go into device manager and show hidden devices to clear out the old Bluetooth drivers and then also uninstall the Bluetooth devices before any of them would work again.

Fuck Windows 11.

Apparently if you swap out a Bluetooth adapter with a new one—the wireless card I just got in this case—Win 11 still considers the old Bluetooth "functional" & any devices connected under it are effectively locked to it. The new Bluetooth hardware can't connect to it or even remove it to reconnect.

Another new wireless card. I swear if this one starts to BSoD I don't know what to do.

*sigh* All the effort I put into solving the issue with my wireless card was pointless. It's still throwing BSoD.

I hope I fixed my wireless card issues. The issue seems to have been with the Wificx.sys file.

I ran through like a bunch of troubleshooting all at once and it seems to be working without issue. Here's hoping I'm not back to reinstalling drivers every week next week.

If my phone is resting on my bed proper, it won't wake me. If it doesn't find its way to my nightstand before I doze off I am 100% sleeping through my alarm. I guess the mattress either absorbs just enough sound or the nightstand acoustics are just enough.

Anyway, I had the right one installed. So yippee, I get to continue troubleshooting.

I basically couldn't even use telegram like a half hour ago until I reinstalled my drivers. Now everything is working flawlessly. I look forward to reinstalling them next week. : \

After the SRD fiasco, I stopped playing 5e and switched to PF2e.

I recently got invited to a 5e game. I see a lot of improvements, but it feels so weirdly paired down. Where's the pitons? Where's my chalk WotC? Where's my fucking soap? How am I gonna roleplay taking a bath in the river now!?

Every wireless solution I use on my computer keeps crapping out. I bought a cheap USB dongle and it died within a month. I decided to splurge on a really good wireless card and now I have to reinstall the drivers every week or I get BSoD and shitty WiFi connectivity.

This is why I prefer ethernet.
