Really enjoyed this book about peopleβs relationships with their AI. I was also surprised by how much was about people using it to do incredibly niche kink and or screenwriting.

here's my full convo with @sarahsteinlubrano.bsky.social about her very good book Don't Talk About Politics, and her current work on the myth of the loneliness epidemic.
it's a great conversation so check it out.

Great piece on the power of short form videos, and the challenges of it for left wing groups.
Thank you!
Really enjoy Sarah's practical approach to reversing the trend of misinformation and aggressive fearmongering.
Wish more people would read her stuff.
Iβve just started reading βDonβt Talk About Politics.β
Itβs fascinating and amazingly well written. Am recommending it far and wide.
Thank you so much!

This is how far you have to scroll on the NYTimes homepage to get any coverage of what's going on day-to-day in an occupied American city where schools are closing because the government is checking the papers of all brown or Asian people then brutalizing, imprisoning or killing them.
this one explores @sarahsteinlubrano.bsky.social VERY good book Don't Talk About Politics.
Interesting talk by @sarahsteinlubrano.bsky.social on her book #DontTalkAboutPolitics - around issues of political organising, how protest only changes the protestors, political debates creating division not enlightenment, and social atrophy as the crisis of our age⦠www.youtube.com/live/MkQ6Bah...
@sarahsteinlubrano.bsky.social has a chapter that discusses what protests are for in Don't Talk About Politics; it was a helpful read regarding concerns about impact that provided more shape to some of my own ambivalence
Those are actually considered βshortβ in this wild content world!

Nope you are totally correct!
Also thank you so much for the kind words!
Yes! Itβs an error. One that drove me crazy. I believe itβs fixed in the reprint. Ahhh! Sorry.

βDonβt Talk About Politicsβ @sarahsteinlubrano.bsky.social Recently Iβve ruminated on my social media rhetoric & what is personally meaningful, and her book is the perfect food for thought. Written in laymanβs language. #booksky Available at ThriftBooks now.
This sentence in particular made me think of @sarahsteinlubrano.bsky.social: "Desires need not be altered through forceful imposition of political principles but can shift as a result of the cultivation of new habitats which draw out other patterns of feeling and thinking about others"
Itβs on Larry Summers, why he is such a funny guy to be bringing up right now, why this whole thing about the βgreat feminisationβ is really just a repackaging of alt right ideology, how women are actually being pushed out of βfeminineβ jobs by Trumpian economic policies, and more.
The Republic of Letters commissioned a piece from me (which they framed as part of a debate, lol) and created a very polemic headline for it. Thatβs said I quite like how the piece turned out, so meet the angrier end of my thinking.
