Really enjoyed this book about people’s relationships with their AI. I was also surprised by how much was about people using it to do incredibly niche kink and or screenwriting.

This sentence in particular made me think of @sarahsteinlubrano.bsky.social: "Desires need not be altered through forceful imposition of political principles but can shift as a result of the cultivation of new habitats which draw out other patterns of feeling and thinking about others"
It’s on Larry Summers, why he is such a funny guy to be bringing up right now, why this whole thing about the “great feminisation” is really just a repackaging of alt right ideology, how women are actually being pushed out of “feminine” jobs by Trumpian economic policies, and more.
The Republic of Letters commissioned a piece from me (which they framed as part of a debate, lol) and created a very polemic headline for it. That’s said I quite like how the piece turned out, so meet the angrier end of my thinking.
