Unsurprisingly I echo this and so jealous you'll get on big screen!!!
Donating blood is an incredibly important way that so many people can help in the aftermath of a mass casualty event, as these frequently strain bloodbank reserves.
Australians can begin donation through the Red Cross Lifeblood service or by calling 13 14 95.

My favorite part of curating an annual #Noirvember recs list from the Polygon staff is learning about noir movies I've never seen. There are some bangers in the "deep cuts" section here.

happy halloween to what many people believed was the greatest tweet of all time
Haven't bluekskyed(?) for weeks but feel like I need to have on public record that tonight was the first crack of faith I've had during London rush hr...when someone ran and shouted after me, so they could hand me back my headphones that I had dropped π₯²
Riding the DLR at night legit feels like I'm in a scene from Blade Runner
Some of the greatest and craziest films ever made are finally coming back into circulation. I wrote about the golden age of Hong Kong action cinema. www.vulture.com/article/when...
I have studied the targeting of journalists for many years, but the scale and public display of these killings is truly shocking: βIsrael admits deliberate attack on the journalist, known for frontline coverage, in a strike on a tent outside al-Shifa hospitalβ

Oh how I love Wimbledon (getting to be there in person x2 this Ur was insane) and then Sinner won which was just a cherry on top π I get the hype of grass now!!!
This double bagel was actually insane though... Seen nothing like it at a GF final
Thank you, everyone, for the support. You can now read my full account at The New Yorker.

Ahhh Alcaraz really deserved that win!!!! Love the Sinner v Alcaraz rivalry
The day after I ranted to someone about my love of Ang Lee (a daily occurrence tbf) - this announcement is here!!! We are so back... www.worldofreel.com/blog/2025/6/...
So basically you're saying we need to make more original musical movies...
One of his best πππ
Yep also very true....
Vampires really are THAT recession indicator www.indiewire.com/news/general...

oh wow yes I didn't manage to see the Panahi but I'm so delighted to see him win the Palme after everything he has been through and made despite it all!!!!
First ever Cannes felt like a social experiment of sorts: twas fun exploring, meeting new+old friends and LOTs of learning - and mostly just reigniting my love for arthouse cinema after being in the depths of the TV world for months. Plus, swimming in the ocean after 7 months was glorious!!
M83's score for Bi Gan's RESURRECTION is divine, just astonished at their range (esp after being a big fan of their Oblivion score a good few years back -but this feels like another turn/musical feel - both playful and luscious). Stayed through all the credits so I could continue listening to it
A child just sat behind me for the new Bi Gan at Cannes.. this little dude about to get the art house cinema experience of his life!!
Surely a piece from The Onion π
I legit can't get over the fact that both Jennifer Lawrence AND Robert Pattinson are in Ramsay's new film... Let's frickin go ππ
Y'all I did NOT know Lelio's new film was a musical
Todd Haynes casually ran onto the stage he was being honoured on with his backpack and then waxed on about how his films dissect authenticity around identity. Such film professor/academic energy
first day of cannes and learning that it wasn't la croissant, but la croisETTE.... it has been an overwhelming day! but i loved hearing todd haynes talk about his work and - tho it's not a new release - but I'M NOT HERE is so brilliant, and i just adored how fresh and different it felt for a biopic
The way the Cannes ticketing brain is entering my subconsciousness... Had another dream where I missed my 6:55am alarm and spent the entire dream asking people around me why they didn't wake me up JAHAKANAOAKA
