Also, observation: many hospitals (speaking of US here) don’t have OR 13’s and it’s such a human thing about us. While there’s a lot I have to say re: that observation, in the end, I know how self-fulfilling our beliefs can be and if omitting a room number means better outcomes then sure why not?

Tonight I keep thinking about hospital design, and whether OR construction differs in some way to offer more fire-resistance in the case of fire while someone is in the middle of surgery. I know I’ll hyper fixate if I look it up (at work rn so not an option) but boy I can’t wait to find out.
