For the Plesiosauria database, I have just completed the profile for Avalonnectes arturi, a plesiosaur named after the mythical island of Avalon and the legendary King Arthur. The holotype is on display in the Marine Reptiles Gallery at the Natural History Museum, London.

I just noticed that I wrote Nichollssaurus instead of Nichollssaura in my post.
For the Plesiosauria database, I have just completed the profile page on Nichollssaurus borealis from the Lower Cretaceous of Alberta, the only leptocleidid known from North America. I studied the specimen last year and included several photos.

I just launched a webpage on Attenborosaurus conybeari. The holotype specimen of this plesiosaur, which is named after Sir David Attenborough, was tragically destroyed by bombing in WWII.

The book was officially presented to the public yesterday evening at the LWL-Museum für Naturkunde mit Planetarium in Münster. I wrote it together with Achim Schwermann, and we both gave talks in the museum’s planetarium. It was a wonderful evening.

Nevertheless, it is a valid taxon and a rare Toarcian plesiosaur from outside the classic localities of Germany and England.

Lusonectes was originally described as a plesiosauroid closely related to Microcleidus. Because only an incomplete skull and mandible are preserved, the phylogenetic position of Lusonectes remains uncertain. 3/4
I had the pleasure of studying the type material, housed at the Museu Geológico in Lisbon, early last year. In our restudy, we provide an updated diagnosis and propose a new interpretation of the specimen.
