I'm definitely a yuleshard. There's client work that can "wait until Tuesday," and I haven't bought a single piece of new clothing in...months.

Mercury Rx strikes in the most unusual fashion yet. Was #amwriting when suddenly, Word made my document "read-only," but still let me edit? Had to "save as," something different, too, because it was read-only. Never had that happen before!
A *very* green spot in an otherwise bland winter landscape.
Today is the #WinterSolstice - the shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere. Tomorrow the days start lengthening. As a sun baby, it's my New Year. Celebrate with me!
Stolen from a friend. π
Client crisis before 2nd full cup of coffee. This applies.
Reinventing Herself opens with Ellen at the kitchen table with a glass of wine. She realizes itβs time to make a change, but to what? Paperback: mybook.to/Reinventing Ebook: mybook.to/ReinventingE... Audiobook, too, at most places that have them!
I am so far behind supporting Big Capitalism. Must get on that right away. Not.
My ex-boyfriend *loved* the smell of this herb. Good thing I think he was a good man - I still like it! #Herbs
Depends where you are! In the US, it's either a bar or pub. (And, not to be classist but I've found those who title themselves a pub tend to be more expensive.) Elsewhere, I think it's all pub.
Two different cloud accounts. One associated with my Microsoft account (that's the hourly-or-so) and another that backs up the whole computer every day (a paid-for service). I figure if one fails, I've got the other.
Daily for everything. Every hour or so when I'm writing.
We need rain! We're in an extreme drought. Should have had about 10" from 1st September to 30th November. Had a little over 2". "They" say we should have 1-2" by the end of the weekend. Last time they said that, we got a whopping .38". But every drop counts!
Rabbit, Rabbit! Happy first of the last month of the Gregorian Calendar!
IF they know about it. As Kathy said, the estate has a lot more problems than one (or a few) grifters trading on his name. They'll catch up with it sooner or later, then the "pay up" will come home to roost.
Like #HistoricalFiction? Check out this list. Iβve read several of these & added a bunch more to the TBR. So many books, so little time! thecoffeepotbookclub.blogspot.com/2023/11/the-...
Now that I got a good American Writing Awards image, I could add the "Finalist" badge to the cover! Looks good, dontcha think?

I've read this (and the subsequent books). It's GOOD - you should get it!
ICYMI on my other socials, I woke up to this in my email yesterday morning. Reclaiming Herself was a finalist in the women's fiction category!
Speaking of Small Business Saturday, you do realize authors are small businesses, too? Many sell books independently. Search your fave author & see if they do. Mine (all heavily discounted!):

It's Sharing Saturday! It's also Small Business Saturday. Instead of a book title, share the name & location of your favorite independent bookstore.
Because I didn't have to be on the computer for work, got almost 3,000 words written on the new book before my eyes gave out. (Go, me!) I have a protagonist and a problem, but no antagonist. Hopefully, I'll have one of those when I get to that point!
Even if you're not in the US, I'm thankful for you all. Have a magical Thursday!
Need some holiday weekend reading (if you're in the US, that is). How 'bout some paranormal women's fiction? Complete with asshole vampires. Paperback: mybook.to/Reinventing Ebook: mybook.to/ReinventingE... Audiobook, too, at most places, narrated by the awesome Courtney Patterson.

Keys can be used as good luck charms. It is also often the custom in her family to give a small gold key charm as a gift to a baby - to unlock good luck for the future. buff.ly/3rVUDF9

Some people love this herb, others can't stand it. I'm somewhere in the middle. It's certainly useful!
One of my friends just shared this over on FB. While technically not correct, π
LMAO. We live on a dirt road that isn't well maintained. Past our property, curved & hilly, hasn't been graded in a long time. 1 of those big-ass trucks meant to convey the size of the owner's genitals went by. Made it thru the mud puddle but got stuck-twice-going up the hill. All that $ and no 4WD.
After chewing on it for a week, I couldn't get Anne's story to work. BUT another character popped into my head. Can I make a story around her? We'll find out! (I managed to *write* about 1000 words yesterday, until my arthritic hand gave out.)
