i've decided not to listen to the audio of a teacher reporting a kindergartender because frankly I don't want to become the person that that event would turn me into. but one thing I hope we are collectively coming to grips with is what it meant that we have lived among such people this whole time
this is why the whole “oh, suffering creates great art” thing is bullshit

My sister just told me her youngest son always has his ass-crack showing because of his preferred pants fit, and I can’t think of a better story on Mozart’s birthday.
I’ve been reading up on how the diplomatic presidency John Quincy Adams was followed by the chaotic presidency of Andrew Jackson for similar reasons. I also find soothing, though Jackson was at least involved in gov’t previously, fiercely believed in the Constitution, and was a war vet, unlike…well.
One thing I’ll always love about the DC area is how unhinged the snow coverage is on the local news.
I was just warning my elderly SEAsian parents about possible Hmong kidnappings happening soon (or happening, period) when we last spoke. They could barely believe it; dad chose to give up his law practice and immigrate to the US over England because neither he or my mom wanted another king.

A white dog with a red-brown badger mask sleeps deeply on one of her many beds put atop of one of the various borrowed rugs set up around the house for the benefit of her traversal, her ear casually flopped open and sitting on one of the numerous water bowls we have placed in various strategic spots for her convenience.
The same white and red-brown badger masked Great Pyrenees mix sleeps comfortably on a pile of blankets on our couch, which she accessed via some hideous but completely worth it dog stairs.
We covered up most of our beautiful floor w/an eclectic (in a very un-snazzy way) highway of borrowed rugs for our arthritic & blind dog. We also have dog beds, unattractive dog stairs, & bowls, all of which we often trip over at her favorite spots. Really hope she likes the house we bought her. 🐶
The four day weekends of this year’s holiday season are passing and quickly coming to an end, but this should a priority activity for any type of day off.
