Things I wish someone told me before recording audio books…
1. Avoid dairy (even chocolate) before recording because it affects your voice.
2. Microphones pick up tiny sounds you don’t notice — like the “snap” or “pop” your lips make when opening.
3. Don’t sway or shift your weight while recording.
