I think we should rename generations by their most embarrassing music genre.
Boomers -> Disco Generation
Gen X -> Glam Metal Generation
Millennials -> Nu Metal Generation
Gen Z -> Mumble Rap Generation
Gen Alpha -> Cocomelon Generation? TBD

Thanks! I've heard of Sousou no Frieren before but haven't watched it yet. Thankfully it's now the weekend :)
I'm 6 months behind you, and so, so tired. My hair has turned white over the past 18 months, and my entire being feels like stretched out elastic.
Please tell me it gets easier? At this point I'm just hoping for some hope, haha
Thanks for mentioning those 2, as they're both 2 of my favs from when I was watching in the earlier 2000s.
Bebop is still what I measure most things against, and am wondering if there's anything more current that is similar in quality to Bebop, Monster, etc.
It's fun seeing the growth of #kpop in the west.
I was a fan of Jinusean, 1TYM, DJ DOC, HOT, god in the 00s, and now I see kids with BTS shirts and Black Pink phone trinkets.
A toast to Bi, Big Bang, etc for leading the Hallyu wave, and people like Yang Hyun-suk + Bang Si-hyuk's for the leadership
I haven't watched #anime in 15 years. When I first started, there were literally 2 choices: Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon.
Now there are a million series with a million episodes.
What's even a good show to start with?
It feels like every word in the dictionary is now a TLD. Where having a domain name used to feel special, now it feels like you can pick anything from a discount bin.
There's no way I'm giving my financial info to a .bank site.
And .loan and .loans both exist, and are owned by 2 different orgs. 🫠
Here are some European alternatives to American platforms and services, just in case you want to hedge your bets against all of the craziness and uncertainty.
My favorite so far is @bunny.net for CDN instead of Cloudflare.

Highly agree with the comments about getting a good cartridge so you don't cause damage.
While on the topic of not damaging your records, check out this old NPR article on the IRENE player used for archiving. www.npr.org/2007/07/15/1...
LinkedIn is such a mess now. It’s sad how every site has become a haven for wannabe influencers, even places that are supposed to be professional.
Some wrinkly old British looking guy trying to hawk a “seduce anyone” book
Clearly AI has a long way to go if this was YouTube’s suggested video after watching a #Svelte tutorial.
Also, this thumbnail leaves me with so many questions…
It would be better than the current JavaScript implementation where values suffer from being “truthy” “falsy”
Looks delish! I’m going to try a take on it with Nutritional Yeast 🧀
A cursive lowercase letter y
So like ç
I’ve always been taken by the cursive lowercase y. Just so classy.
I love the JavaScript community for the sheer fact we have fun library names:
* Mustache
* Party / Confetti
* Why Did You Render
* Thaw Carrot
* Beep Boop
Meanwhile, Java has libraries named after sleeping and minerals.
Very nice! But maybe don’t start out with X/Twitter in the video for a BlueSky post 🫠
“Are you interested in joining a startup?”, a recruiter on LinkedIn messages.
The company was nearly 10 years old and on Series E funding.
Can this even be considered a startup still? Where is the cut off?
I made a thing: scroll-driven, almost pure #CSS infinite circular gallery rotation - check it out on @codepen.io:
codepen.io/thebabydino/...
Using scroll-driven animations and the tiniest bit of JS for the infinity part of it.
Made with 🖤 for this week's #CodePenChallenge.

Do I pronounce this as “Thee very thin gapp”?
If you want to persist your db data, you can add something like this to your docker compose
```
volumes:
- ./postgres-data:/var/lib/postgresql/data
```
Or via CLI
`-v ./postgres-data:/var/lib/postgresql/data`
I also found a nice setup tutorial: tsmx.net/postgresql-d...
Running things in Docker instead of installing locally is so nice, especially getting to avoid dependency issues and conflicts; just have it all siloed off! Don’t need it anymore? Just nuke the image and container without worrying about the random config files, etc. Even better with ansible too
Claude is telling me this is called “Distancing Past Tense” or “Attitudinal Past Tense”, where a question or request is put into a more passive statement by creating psychological distance between the question/request and the immediacy of the phrasing, thus less pressure.
A picture of Data Modeling
This is the first thing that pops into my head.
Then I think of data flow, hieraechies and relationships.
Looks good so far!
Do you have any examples? I agree and have been trying to do the same but always want to learn what others are doing!
Today’s kids have TikTok, Minecraft and Spotify.
A thousand years ago we had Xanga, GoGaia and Kazaa.

How to use <datalist> to provide filters on an input field.
This is pretty cool, and provides autocomplete values on mobile.

About a ten foot skybox for your living room. That’s good, less likely to have gaps for light to escape and cause lag.
The real question: is your studio CTF or Payload?
Add some wine and say you’re doing a charcuterie so you can sound fancy 🧐
Xanga! There’s a name I haven’t heard in years…
To any of you visited my Xanga: I’m so sorry you had to listen to my page loudly spamming mashups of Eminem + Jay Chou.
Also to those who visited my Xanga: it’s time to schedule a colonoscopy.
