So many great Tales to Astonish covers...
Ax-man is always a good time just for the signage.
If you want a unique experience, you could order the vegetarian sandwich at the Snelling Cafe. The only sandwich I have ever had with a whole potato in it. After the first one I had, I was skeptical it was a regular thing, but same deal the second time. This is not a recommendation, but I liked it.
Yo.
Thank you, I needed that.
Sorry... while he certainly sounds like an impressive scam artist in the auto industry, he still is only a distant second in the competition.
I have my doubts about the Clampett Daffy as well.
The concerns of supposed "innovation" does not give big tech the license to steal our works, our images or our voices. We have to pay for access to copyrighted works, and so should big tech. And if creatives don't want big tech to have the access to their works they should emphatically not have it.
I've been a supporter of the works of the EFF for years, and this is the first time I really feel like you are on the wrong side of a battle. AI models trained on copyrighted works should have to compensate the creators of the works, and all copyrighted work should be opted out of AI by default.
I hate to tell you this, but it wasn't him you went to college with.
You can't go wrong in either direction. To my taste he hits his prime for pure wild entertainment sometime in the black and white 20s, but the later stuff with color gets even more experimental with design.
Hope everything is OK, and hope that this is not a life drawing.
"A shutdown would give Donald Trump the keys to the city, state, and country." This is a likely scenario with or without a shutdown. The real question is whether or not you're going to be complicit in it happening. Here's hoping you come to your senses.
I call him the gangster of love.
The picture of Newsom next to Bannon looks like a before and after picture showing the deleterious effects of fascism.
Exactly seven almonds for breakfast.
I really doubt he paid for it. When has Herr Trump ever paid for anything? I would speculate Tesla paid both him and Herr Musk for their participation in the advertisement.
Sorry to be the one to break it to you, Dan.
I tried to find a reference just now as to if he had driven the car during his Indy 500 stunt, and could find nothing. Glass is tinted, so you can't see anyone in the car. I really don't think he knows how to drive. I imagine even if he did, at this point his senility would make it very dangerous.
Come to think of it... have Elon Musk and drug-resistant gonorrhea ever been seen in the same room together? I think you may be on to something here.
Hi! Cool list. I'm the animation/illustration half the team making the #squirmish videogame with @social.faustlogic.com who is on there... so I may be worth adding to it.
Clearly we need to send bears to fix things in the White House.
This cover is fantastic and unsettling for many reasons, one of which is the way Fox chose to draw ankle bones. The stuff of nightmares!
If you're unloading philodendron like some mad philodendronaire, I accidentally murdered one of my shamrocks last week, so I could use one of those suckers. With that and a spider plant, my master plant plan could finally come to fruition.
Thanks! I just noticed the artist numbered the panels as well. Weird. Love the bizarre design of this page. I greatly enjoy all of the obscure out-of-context gems you post!
What a bizarre page! Hooray for spot color! What comic is this one from, Ken?
I'm digging that mid-century retro kangaroo! Nice work.
