So admittedly it’s “only” a Bronze Age bowl barrow, so doesn’t quite make the grade for #HillfortsWednesday - but still Win Green clump makes a fine vantage point to watch the sun set on 2025. Happy New Year!

Now I am as enthusiastic as the next person about #HillFortsWednesday - but I think Pedro takes the dog biscuit for his love of Hod Hill in north Dorset. Flying over the ramparts and admiring what the Romans did to the place when they built their camp in the north west corner from AD 43
Trip advisor review not too enthusiastic- nothing more than a hill. Could save yourself the bother of revisiting …
Ensure suitably attired and armed …
Romans certainly knew how to build a straight road @HillfortsWednesday
Despite absence of an actual Hillfort, there is link enough I hope for #hillfortsWednesday - Ackling Dyke is the mighty Roman thoroughfare that links Old Sarum and Badbury Rings, and they both count. Just in time for sunset …

Was worried there wasn’t enough time to get ride in around univallate perimeter of Chiselbury Hillfort, just above the Fovant army badges for #HillfortsWednesday - but there is always time! Glorious evening strava.app.link/aTeD0sul7Wb
Stunning night for #TumuliThursday
#HillfortsWednesday is so yesterday - back to Kingston Lacey tonight for #TumuliThursday - is that thing @durotrigesdig.bsky.social - if not, can it be?
Little changed - along Roman Road heading north east from Badbury Rings to Old Sarum this evening #HillfortsWednesday
Roads little changed from this map to tonight’s #hillfortswednesday ride

Doesn’t need an acute hospital bed, but end of life care shouldn’t take place in a corridor as I am sure you would agree. Not an either or situation - there should be viable alternatives
"To all the lovely midwives and doctors who cared for me and my baby, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude. Your amazing care, kindness and laughter made all the difference. Thank you for everything!"
Some fab feedback here for our maternity colleagues. Well done team! 💙
We are promoting across @uhdnhs.bsky.social - aided by @emwelham.bsky.social - seems #NHS slower to cross over compared with universities etc
Bit of blue sky today to celebrate move to @bsky.app - didn’t cycle up funnily enough. Shaftesbury Abbey walls on right
