Sorry to get radical but I don’t think it’s my job or yours to embrace, accept, understand - and certainly not to use - the thing being sold to us as AI. I don’t like any part of it, so I won’t. I’m missing out? Good, that’s what I want. You’re worried about me missing out? That’s fuckin weird, man.
When all these devices break down and have no means to repair them because no components are available. Its going to affect EVERYONE, not just gamers.
AI needs to be regulated, preferably removed, as there is no net gain that outweighs the numerous negatives.
I know the big focus rn with AI datacenters eating components is going to cause problems for gamers, the thing is this is a much bigger issue than we are letting on. Many devices you interact with daily are also computers with these components. ATM's, POS devices, hospital equipment, automotive.
