Whether Person B joined knowing the fandom was overwhelmingly supportive of LGBT+ is irrelevant. Their experience of wanting to connect without conforming to cultural norms is however, as it's a uncommon group they resonate with but not reciprocated (this creates isolation, volatility, & vocalness)
An example looks like is:
Person A joins and is open minded about the LGBT community, they get more involved, reinforcement of ideas, strong advocate in the end
Person B joins and is close minded, they get involved, reinforce their anti-LGBT ideas as they don't connect, strong critic in the end
Being a furry is already an extreme/uncommon (I think it is still?) form of self expression. It'd make sense that in a medium that necessitates a sizeable level of uncomfortity there are outliers that don't align with not only traditional forms of expression, but also dominant cultural standards.
