Around 49% of COVID infections are asymptomatic and carry no symptoms but did you know, that albeit less likely, you can still get long covid or a blood clot, days, weeks, months or even a year after this seemingly harmless infection. Most who have long covid had only seemingly ‘mild’ symptoms 🧵

I also learned from interviewing @edwincpark.bsky.social that there's no guarantee that people who get Medicaid through SSI will be exempt from work requirements either. Like, these are people who have gone through a lot of paperwork for the government to see them as disabled enough.

most people i tell about the mold in my blood is like “i didn’t know there could be mold in my blood.” and i just have to go, “it’s not uncommon for folks like me. i’ve been reading about it and mentally preparing for over 10 years.” and then they just kinda look at you funny.

i actually said this last night: every time i search for articles, i end up saving at least 5 more that aren’t exactly relevant to my current paper, but that are really interesting to me. that doesn’t happen if the list is generated.

This reminds me of when I was a PhD candidate during comps (prelims). I was surprised that *I* had to put together all 3 of my reading lists instead of my committee. But then I realized that the act of compiling was an important learning experience.

I've received an email ultimatum about storage: must pay by 8PM tomorrow or it goes on auction. So far I've hiy $50, out of $350 for Feb, including late fee, and $300 for March.

This process is automated, with no appeal. If I don't reach $650 before 8PM TONIGHT, about 4 hours away, I will lose my storage unit and the important and sentimental items inside.
Please help quickly if you can! And please keep sharing! I've stalled at $150.

i did really well when i didn’t have to memorize stuff and could discuss what conditions made people think war was a good idea and explore the meaning people made from battles, but i didn’t know like any names or dates bc those people were INCORRECT

but truly. my health was really stable, only slight decline (which was caused by mold. a pattern that my doctor noticed). but now treating the mold is fully kicking my ass so i'm reminded of my earlier days with a chronic illness diagnosis. it is good info to have when supporting clients.

well i guess they figured it out and won’t force me to schedule an appointment bc my pharmacy just notified me that the prescription had been refilled. this means i’ll probably also need to call to get them to re-order my lab work before my next appointment. ugh.

(for legal and ethical purposes, this is a joke) i think tending to my own chronic illnesses should count as an indirect hour for my therapist training. but i am genuinely remembering a lot of the foundational work of accepting one’s disability by having to do this

if this shit gets into my lungs (seemingly unlikely but with these numbers and this chaos in scheduling, who knows!) but if it gets into my lungs, there’s a 50/50 chance i die within 5 years. so i’d very much like to stay on top of it

i mean, it’s the highest mold count in someone’s blood my doctor has ever seen and she sees a lot of people like me so it’s really confusing that very few in the office are acting as if this is urgent and important

and this chaos is why i avoided correcting them about my lab work 3 weeks ago. ironically, i’m having to contact them again just so that they’ll review my blood work and prescribe the correct medication. but now they’re saying i need an appointment for that?

why are medical administrative teams so chaotic? i got a voicemail to confirm an appointment tomorrow. i call back as instructed. this person doesn’t see an appointment for tomorrow. i also asked for telehealth and she was like “did you speak with the nurse?” no, i said voicemail.
