Okay, here is something else...at what point do move from, "okay my SQL and PL/SQL is 100% optimized, as are the underlying tables, views, etc..." to...
Now...here is what I'd like to know: how are you, in your own way, correlating some of these failed HTTP requests with a specific endpoint? I'm leaning towards a custom Unified Audit Policy for this specific test. But what do you prefer?
Don't get me wrong, creating a scenario for a single user is tough; we haven't even started on multiple unique users yet! But once you have defined the scenario, and executed it, you'll then have your results.
onversation starter:
Hypothetically, you want to load test your ORDS (/ords/) endpoints or APEX (/r/) app; in this case the Brookstrut APEX app. It's almost like the easy part is the test itself.
And if you've taken this LiveLab, how did you like the prompts? How did they work out for you? Were the results what you were expecting? And how are you using prompts in your daily database admin/developer workflows today?

Curious about MCP Servers? Well, now is a great time to learn. We've just updated our SQLcl MCP Server LiveLab, yet again. The setup labs are even more streamlined and we've added some helpful steps for macOS AND PC users too. Try it out or share with others: livelabs.oracle.com/ords/r/dbpm/...
We also provide folks with free access to a 26ai database as a "FreeSQL" user. We'll plug your connection details into VSC, or if you don't yet have the Oracle SQL Developer for VS Code extension, we'll prompt to download and then enter in your FreeSQL connection details. Thanks FreeSQL team π
New update to our SQLcl MCP Server Intro Lab: updated prompts for your AI Agents and we cut down on the lab's overall word count.

A reminder that k6 is still out there, and people are using it for their ORDS APIs too. Nice write-up: btimmerman.hashnode.dev/load-testing...
At one point Grafana Labs had a .har -> k6 scenario script (.js) convertor browser extension. Making it much easier to create test scenarios.

I keep reviewing this SQLcl MCP Server LiveLab as new Tools are added and as LLM models mature. Today, the prompts in the LL are (see GIF). Review the lab and test the prompts with your favorite LLM API provider before I change them up again! livelabs.oracle.com/ords/r/dbpm/...

AI agents can help you build schemas and create test data
@chrishoina.bsky.social shares an example prompt to store data about cars, trucks, motorcycles and their manufacturers
Then shows you how to use it with SQLcl MCP Server and Cline to make the tables
While you are at it, might as well try out our new LiveLab too :)

Check out Sessionless Transactions. We'll have an upcoming demo provided by our TxEventQ team, so stay tuned for that. Links in the reply.
Since having placed some more focus on the ORDS image we've been getting lots of great feedback. Here is one example, Martin had some really great observations/thoughts on how we could improve the developer's debugging experience when working with our ORDS container. Thanks @martindba.bsky.social π
Quoting oneself: cool or cringe? "Eventually...we'll all need to become "prompt engineers." And as you'll see [there], you actually have to know what you are doing to be able to ask the right questions and to challenge an LLM's assumptions."

I have a poll going for showing how to perform a legacy ORDS install/migration. I can set up a podman 23ai container with a legacy ORDS install and show you how to migrate to the latest ORDS version. Please read the details and vote. Would this be helpful? www.linkedin.com/posts/chrish...
Yeah, thatβs really cool. It just looks so pretty too π
Yay or nay for astro.build so far? Should I take a look?
This united-codes site is really pretty, I am excited to see it grow :)
The more "building" type stuff I do, the more I appreciate the terminal. Especially in and around VMs and containers.
I'm going to ask we add in some more info in those docs though. For a beginner, it's a steep learning curve. Alternatively, we may create an official Oracle blog for walking through how to do this on/with Podman π
Philipp, I just got the containers to work using that compose file! Were you able to? Let us know if you have issues. I have to say, first time using that compose file, and it is so nice to start up/down both at the same time.
And yes, that direct URL is best: container-registry.oracle.com/ords/ocr/ba/...
