The democrats didn’t do shit. The rights of queer and trans people comes from queer and trans people organizing and demanding their rights. No party is responsible for that. If you were around for the narrative around gay marriage you would know the democrats were allies when it was convenient.
As a “civil rights enjoyer” you should understand better than most that no one’s rights ever came from anyone constantly capitulating to reactionary narratives. There is no needle to thread. You either believe in the full rights of trans people or not.
