The markers look really nice in this one.

It Couldn't Have Been Just About Gay Rocks - ANoN, 2025 I work on a comic called PARANOiD, with Mikii. It's about a bunch of angsty teens snarking their way through a world of horror. paranoidcomic.com I love Horror Movies, Comics, and Misery.
The markers look really nice in this one.
Both of them have knives, and they are standing on a lovely drawing of a fat dwarf bleeding out on the ground who looks just like you.
Every time I see people dreaming of their youth like this all I can think about is all the people I personally know who never got this childhood. Guess what, the majority of them are far kinder to children and supportive of their future than the nostalgic types.
How good is it?
Length on good video essays also prove this. if you have something valuable to say, then people will stick around to hear it.
Made by Gainax, btw.
This is so true, poor little zombie-chan will never be noticed by the impregnable Leon S Kennedy
I mean, if I had the opportunity to bite Leon Kennedy anywhere...
I've had this on my watchlist for ages, I should actually check it out.
I cannot think of a show I'd less want to come back than Firefly, and I'm saying this as a guy who still likes it a lot.

Tony Hawk, the man, vrs Tony Hawk, the concept.
It's mostly a funny story these days. My Autistic Ass could not recognize when I was getting taken advantage of.
I once asked him when I was hungry to make me something to eat, because I hadn't eaten in like, 5 hours, and he angerly gave me a grilled cheese because he was with my mom.
Yeah I was not into it. I have plenty of crazy drug stories around my youth.
My mom's drug addict boyfriend made me stand in a corner for 8 hours while he shot up and then hugged me afterwards.
I've had to learn excessive amounts of both occult practices, but also historical accounts of monsters and folklore.
This is some fucking *dad* lore, holy shit doc, that's crazy.
Fuck BTK big time.
Sometimes a fart joke is just a fart joke~ Sigmund Freud or someone.
People were so weird about that, considering it was a comic book for all ages, and considering how many fart books I remember seeing at Scholastic fairs when I was a kid...
Chaptersode 2:
Jose Verde and a transformed Jessie caught at gunpoint. #paranoid #werewolf #originalseries
I haven't formally talked about The Starry Ladders yet, but man has the new artist breathed life into these characters. Helter's writing needed a vivant and colorful art style to bring out the personalities of these wannabe shoegaze stars, and it's down to earth approach is refreshing.
A friend of mine has passed away. A good one. He was a comp TF2 player who managed to play at an invite level. You have no idea how hard it is to get that good at the game. He did this while battling cancer. He fought like hell, and never lost hope.
RIP, Cam. A true soldier. I'll never forget you.
Pffffft
Hey I do my best, what can I say.
I do think The Happy Dictator is the most "Old school Gorillaz" track though.
Like, I can show someone Melancholy Hill or Clint Eastwood and you instantly get caught by it, but Orange Country is not something you can just drop on someone. It works better in its own space, to its own detriment.
When I stopped trying to treat it like one of their more political albums and closer to their Self Titled, It starts to take on a life of its own. It's really something you can't try to cut apart into a catchy single, which is its biggest weakness.
I've enjoyed the album more by taking it as an inverse of demon days. I think the trance like music helps create a soundscape you're meant to wander in, each song on the track feeling like you're either walking the path up the mountain or stopping at a foothill to take some rest.
Its more focused on moving you from emotional moments and conversations on grief and death than the more "narrative heavy" tracklists of demon days and plastic beach.
I think for me it's very much an album about the journey rather than the destination.
