Lots of us are still paying extortionate service charges related to buildings insurance due to developers getting away with shoddy construction.

I didn’t expect any less to be honest. Having just paid my ground rent again it’s a stark reminder about how the system is so exploitative - being able to “own” a property yet it just being the right to rent there.

Not to mention the lack of accountability on building standards

Capitalism - the system that seemingly incentivises disasters by facilitating people profiting off them
