Same. And I'm in Canada, which means my country is on the receiving end of some of this insanity. We shake our heads on the regular.
Here's what the submission tracker looks like right now. @fahim.farook.org is still developing it, adding features. If you're interested in using it, please let either of us know.
Just to clarify, each users submissions are private. Also, it will be free as long the current server can support operations. I'll include some screenshots in a reply.
Holy carp. I just learned about wood squirrels in Sri Lanka today. Also known as grizzled giant squirrels.
These things are massive! Head to tail, they can be 35 inches long. That is not a typo, people!

Editing @fahim.farook.org's sci-fi short story about ancient Sri Lankan people and holy smokes the story! It's good! The world building! I know I'm biased, but...
I can't wait for y'all to be able to read it.

He was my premier when we lived in Ontario. I am not a fan of so many things he's done. But in this, I firmly applaud his actions.
I've seen his ideas. We've talked about them. I've read the first bit of one story. They're goooooood.
My vote is Old Lanka. What do you think?

Decided give those "paranoid" thoughts free reign πBut to avoid confusion, created a separate account.
The first thought (as always) is about my wife π

Um, the last year and a half have been rough, but things are looking up. How are you doing?
Of course you would say that.
I haven't written in years - brain fog, debilitating headaches, untreated suspected AuDHD, chronic illness. And 2 days ago, a solution for a giant plot hole for one of my novels (88k words written, but unedited) came to me. Brilliant!
Oy. I don't know I'm going to do this.

PSA for writers: if a publisher dangles a contract offer but first wants to know how many of your own books you plan to buy...your answer will 100% determine whether you actually get the contract. Along w/ things like not paying royalties till production costs recouped, this is stealth vanity pub
I enjoy hearing from other people. Mostly online is the only place I get to talk to people besides the wife π
So, been following a lot of author starter packs today to find interesting people. Also, if an account folllows me and it has posts and says interseting stuff, I follow.

A land art creation by Jon Foreman on a sandy beach. The artwork features a mesmerizing pattern of smooth, colorful stones arranged in swirling waves that taper off into delicate lines of smaller stones. Foreman is kneeling nearby, wearing a hoodie and beanie, adding a human connection to the ephemeral artwork.

Absolutely please do this but also be aware that it helps if it's a new book! Some libraries will not buy books older than 12-18 months old. π¬
(This particularly helps Canadians due to how our PLR system is set up by the way! Thank you!)

if you want artists to make weirder art, you have to create stable living conditions that allow them to. homogeneity isn't a matter of artists lacking culture-- there are many soulful artists out there-- it's a matter of unregulated corporate dominance combined with artists who cant afford to create
Why was he standing so close? You do not mess with the meese!
@fahimfarook.bsky.social have you seen this? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9429128/
Oooooh that sounds like an interesting show. I'll check it out. π
And I've put in a request or two to further that decluttering. π
