Actually, I saw you moved it to your porch. Ours wouldn’t take issue with that either since it’s not really different from having flower planters.
What’s the rationale for not allowing a garden box? Ours has no issue with it as long as it’s in the back yard.
Here’s my opinion on the new typescript compiler:
You should write programs in the language you want to.
Phew. That’s an impressive hustle, so be sure to take care of yourself too!
So, are you still programming, or are you full time at the bakery?
I did! Thank you!
@margeditor.bsky.social Good morning! Who’s working/Anyone working on the Elixir brain teasers book? Lots of other language options, but Elixir is curiously missing.
Never mind. I stumbled on the answer. They took a stand. I’m now in the same boat as you. Wish there was a closer Costco than an hour away.
What’s the deal with Costco? Did they take a stand? I think I’ve missed something in never-relenting onslaught of news.
Engineers are not smarter than everyone, and engineers do not get to wreck everything. The fact that engineers *are* wrecking everything is a cascading systems failure.
I hadn’t seen “swasticars” before, and I spit my drink laughing. So good!
"You don’t need a cutting-edge system to deliver most software requirements"
Think about this the next time some shiny, new, complex framework/tool comes around. I love working with "boring" technology for this reason.

Oh man! You’re a star!

Proud grandboss moment here.
Optimist operator, getting locked out of their AWS root account: "Great news, as of today our infrastructure is now immutable"
I think this is exercise in general. I have the same experience after any good workout. Uncomfortable amounts of energy, and I’m ready to apply it on all the projects.
I don’t usually encourage people to blow off responsibilities, but S2 EP1 of Severance is totally worth the diversion. It’s so wild.
Meanwhile, I’m over here cracking an energy drink. I’m classy though, so I always stick my pinky out when I raise my can.
That sounds incredible right now to be honest. My daughter is an extrovert and fed all day when her mom took her to work. She had so much energy that it’s almost like the Powerthirst YouTube video here.
Agreed. Burn it with fire.
My kids have no idea how to communicate at any volume below 11. These snowstorms may be the end of my hearing as we know it.
Gather round kids and let me tell you a story about a real technology ban...
Questions you can always ask in an incident review:
What made this particular incident hard to deal with?
What skills helped the responders diagnose and remediate?
This is kind of my curse though. Any show I love on streaming is destined to end up canceled or in production-hell.
Pantheon is one of my favorite sci-fi animes. The story and the ambience absolutely sucks me in. I can’t wrap my head around why they couldn’t have officially released the second season in the US. At least let me buy it on iTunes or something. Why make me resort to crappy YouTube rips?
