Agree! Everyone else seemed to love it and I did not. My sister who is a writer told me “Well the narrative POV changed at the end of the book.” And it was like an epiphany, because yes the whole last part seemed contrived and wrong.

Often went to remote gems but only to Grizzly Lake twice in my 15 year career as a flight RN. Some of my favorite calls though. Usually a hiker that had a minor injury but couldn’t walk out. CHP would longline to us and we’d transport. In the meantime we waited for them. Loved being a flight nurse.
