Regarding unemployment numbers, anecdote that my firm started quiet firings last November through this month. A number of people also voluntarily left - including my former boss. The employment climate right now isn’t favorable for anyone other than HRs.

When will CNBC or any network yell these guys off the air? Giving them unchallenging air time serves no purpose.

New York Times headline of β€œbig revisions are a reason to question job numbers, not dismiss them. Subheading includes that economist β€œworry the quality of data is eroding”

Duh. Everything the government does is eroding in quality, which is the point of laying off hundreds of thousands of government employees

Yeah; the quality of everything our government does is eroding. Very badly.

Because that’s the point of mass layoffs of career civil servants. The plan here is to make everything the government does worse- except the security apparatus (but they’re screwing that up too πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ)

Congratulations to Me, a Kamala Harris Voter, Who Got Exactly What I Voted For β€œTrump’s best foreign policy? Not starting any wars… He has my support in 2024 because I know he won’t recklessly send Americans to fight overseas....

someone was saying they thought maple syrup just came out of the tree, and it’s funny because we have a story about this in ojibwe

like, the syrup used to come out that way but people got lazy and fat so the creator thinned it out into sap so we wouldn’t take it for granted

If the statement of work doesn't start until Tuesday, you cannot send consultants on Monday (day before). This is not how anything works.

Iwao Takamoto was one of the Disney greats. Films like Sleeping Beauty owe a lot to his meticulous lines.

The studio was a kind of home for him -- it was a big change. Just before, he'd been in the camps. We explore the story:

Waiting for a world where AI publications are consumed by AI readers. AI creators tout high readership numbers. Shareholders and finance bros interpret the AI sector news conversion reporting as gospel.
Meanwhile back at the meat ranch, the rest of us live a different existence.
