Jack Schlossberg is now going full NIMBY and fighting against a plan to rebuild a dilapidated NYCHA campus with even more affordable housing and guaranteed brand new homes for every current NYCHA tenant.

What a joke this guy is

Not just measles: Another outbreak of a vaccine-preventable disease is happening | CNN The FDA approved a vaccine for mumps nearly 60 years ago, so why are some areas of the United States experiencing outbreaks now, and who should be concerned?

Love it here. The answer is MMR = Measles, Mumps, Rubella. one shot three vaccines.

I found a white paper from the early 90s a while back that indicated the military has known about this since at least the 1980s.

So because all his other bullshit and Trump support went to ruin, this chode looking fool is putting his finger in the wind and hoping that the trans misogyny will be a cover

I wish him the worst

My main critique of JFREJ’s antisemitism guide is that it’s ashkenormative. They do mention mizrahi jews, but don’t talk much about what they went through.

Fwiw, I’ll still share it with gentiles with certain political leanings because it’s generally pretty solid.

Too often, people dismiss the Jewish diaspora from Arab countries by blaming Israel and Zionism for why they became hostile to Jews. But it doesn’t stop that hostility being real or antisemitic.

Apparently Timothee Chalmet made some really shitty and ignorant comments about ballet and opera. This just further justifies my original feelings about him. His vibe never seemed right to me.

I became skeptical of populism during high school in APUSH. It was populists who wanted to make the racist immigration system even stricter in the mid/late 19th/early 20th century.

just to be clear, I think the best way to go is:

1. very strict school vaccine mandates
2. end parent's ability to deny kids vaccines
3. a massive public health information outreach campaign explaining to parents why vaccines are necessary.

none of this involves scolding or yelling at parents.

I’ve lost about 10-15 lbs in the last few weeks. I don’t think I look different. Granted, aside from my clothes being baggier the only thing I noticed about my weight loss via my Adderall-induced accidental anorexia a few years ago was that my face got thinner. I gained the weight back under Covid.

She’d say this even when I was pretty far from 200lbs. I was always a fat kid. And aside from calling me husky or talking about her own weight issues when she was growing up, the 200lbs comments were the extent of her directly fat shaming me.

06.03.2026 19:33 πŸ‘ 3 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I’ve been under (barely) 200lbs 2 days in a row. I haven’t been under 200lbs in the better part of a year (if not longer).

When I broke the 200lb mark, it fucked with my head because mom would say β€œyou used your 200lbs on it” or β€œdon’t put your 200lbs on it” in relation to using my too much force.

Did you know that Graham Platner was Ryan Grim's bartender back at the Tune Inn on Capitol Hill, a fact that Ryan Grim acknowledged on X?

OK but populism is bad though. It replaces actual class struggle with some nebulous concept of "the people" versus "elites," without identifying that the real reason for antagonism is class structure, not merely associated concentrations of capital and power.

Iranian Jews make up less than 2% of Iran, but 33% of Iranians in LA.
This demographic represents a majority of Iranian protestors, and a majority of those we see online.
Yet, when asked where their allegiance lies, the majority say Israel.
Why, then, are we treating them as representative of the average Iranian?

Wow I wonder if there might be a reason why there are way more Iranian Jews in the diaspora than in Iran itself, and why they might have a reason to feel positively about Israel

Ok look. I will put up with a lot from people who have never had experience with military ships but I just saw someone refer to IRIS Dena, which the US callously and probably illegally sank, as "an unarmed ship" and no.

Let’s talk about Graham Platner’s Big Lie, finally. In 2009, at the height of the Gulf War, the Marines barred him from active duty. Platner claims it was his forearm tattoos. But his one forbidden tattoo was the Nazi symbol on his chest. He knew - and he left the Marines rather than give it up. 1/

Uuuuugh. I just spent $99 on a new trashcan. It was on sale, which is how I justified it. The original price is $200.

This was prompted by the fact that I was gone for 5 fucking minutes to pick up a package and in that time, the dogs had knocked over my kitchen trashcan.
