My main critique of JFREJ’s antisemitism guide is that it’s ashkenormative. They do mention mizrahi jews, but don’t talk much about what they went through.

Fwiw, I’ll still share it with gentiles with certain political leanings because it’s generally pretty solid.

I became skeptical of populism during high school in APUSH. It was populists who wanted to make the racist immigration system even stricter in the mid/late 19th/early 20th century.

just to be clear, I think the best way to go is:

1. very strict school vaccine mandates
2. end parent's ability to deny kids vaccines
3. a massive public health information outreach campaign explaining to parents why vaccines are necessary.

none of this involves scolding or yelling at parents.

I’ve lost about 10-15 lbs in the last few weeks. I don’t think I look different. Granted, aside from my clothes being baggier the only thing I noticed about my weight loss via my Adderall-induced accidental anorexia a few years ago was that my face got thinner. I gained the weight back under Covid.

She’d say this even when I was pretty far from 200lbs. I was always a fat kid. And aside from calling me husky or talking about her own weight issues when she was growing up, the 200lbs comments were the extent of her directly fat shaming me.

I’ve been under (barely) 200lbs 2 days in a row. I haven’t been under 200lbs in the better part of a year (if not longer).

When I broke the 200lb mark, it fucked with my head because mom would say “you used your 200lbs on it” or “don’t put your 200lbs on it” in relation to using my too much force.
