Like Wyatt adds these wonderful splashes of color with those fills. Nearly each bar has some different accent or pause, the dynamic constantly changes, and *still* is in time. And it fuckin' swings. The section around 9.5 minutes in is a great example of that. Just masterful.
I have been a Soft Machine kick lately, and boi am I kicking myself for not catching them during my teen Floyd phase.
This live version of "Moon in June" is incredible, especially Robert Wyatt's drumming. www.youtube.com/watch?v=soQN...
Was it Hitchens or someone who said the Dems were one of two cheeks to the same derrière?
Either way, they've long since stopped pretending.
It has been difficult for me to muster up mental energy to even get a clear grasp of how much of a fascist dumpster fire 'murica has turned into.
Even in a period of strategic exhaustion that the new Power Elite is imposing on society, 'fascist dumpster fire' I think sums it up nicely.
John Waters at the grocery store. John Waters shops for apples. He examines one. Then decides "no... this one's better."
Stop treating genAI CEOs in good faith. Flailing dweebs like Mikey Schulman of Suno are people that took one college art/music elective and gave up while watching those that understood the basis of social norms succeed. They donβt get people so they donβt get βitβ and theyβre aggrieved as a result.

So are the big wigs at BlueSky going to address the anti-blackness on here or nah? Or just let this place become another septic tank like the bird site? Important thread below for context
perhaps you also saw that deadline article about exec tactics for ending the WGA strike and perhaps you also have nothing to say about it you could say in public on the world wide web but perhaps youβd like to do something with that feeling of being punched in the gut so hereβs where you can donate
Fables was the surprise listen for me, as there were lots of interesting guitar textures and riffs that Peter Buck was playing. Very different from what I expected after only hearing some of those tracks first on Eponymous.
Our Yankee healthcare system, becoming more broken by the minute. Naturally in this scenario, elites get high quality, in person care while the rest get a bullshit generator and buried alive by bills.
Getting back into REM again and listened to Reckoning and Fables for the first time. Amazing how fire those pre-Warner albums all are, and how much of a roll they were on creatively. Right from the jump of Murmur, they had a full grasp of their sound and what they could do with it.
"Yeah yeah, I know Zappa is irony pilled and all, but bruh, have you heard 'Toads of the Short Forest'? It's like if Albert Ayler jammed over some Igor Stravinsky arrangements!"

A plank of class warfare. Debt relief must be vigorously fought for and defended from those who profit off the destitution of millions.

Half the episode sees him really spacey as a result of his meditation. Some wonder if Falk was on something during the shoot, but it was just him being blissed out from the deep concentration.
Episode is "Last Salute to the Commodore" if you were wondering.
Columbo and friend meditate in front of boat named "Mojo Jr."
Some Columbo lore: the episode where he tries meditation for the first time sees him transcend samsara and tasks himself to enlighten all beings.
Columbo becomes a bodhisattva.
Yeah yeah, another corporate owned platform to howl in the void with.
At least I'm here for the hot music takes and socialist memes without the chuds or the discourseβ’ (for now).
