Health insurers have claimed for months that AI is driving up health care costs. Now Blue Cross Blue Shield is offering proof.
The ambiguous analysis methods would sow more doubt on the conclusion...if a hospital hadn't told me last year that its AI coding software was targeting this EXACT code.

The love & care & indigenous wisdom that #32 Jody Potts-Joseph leads her dog team with can be seen in their handmade regalia for the #Iditarod ceremonial start.
Are those *beaded*?? Do you know how long beading takes?! Seeing them adorned and honored this way made me cry π₯Ή my heart moneyβs on her

My daughter reported that the ICE presence outside her school during recess last week involved ICE officers sitting IN AN ICE CREAM TRUCK. And this wasn't kids misinterpreting. We had an email from the school the day it happened; we just didn't get the ice cream detail in the email.

Often in a poor job market, college grads will choose to continue their education into grad school.
But with federal funding being gutted, a lot of grad programs are recruiting fewer students, or none at all. Leaving less opportunity for our young adults and putting more pressure on the job market.

Biotech investor set to lead US National Science Foundation
If confirmed by the US Senate, Jim O'Neill would be the first non-scientist or engineer to lead the agency, a big funder of US basic research.
O'Neill, an investor in anti-aging technology who worked on HHS policy, would be the first non-scientist or engineer to lead NSF. His background will be a 'major concern' to the science and technology community, former NSF director Neal Lane told me.

The person using the AI tool is responsible for the AI tool's outputs. Whoever authorized the use of the tool here committed a war crime. It doesn't matter if they didn't actively choose the target. You are responsible.
Same in every other use of this technology. It doesn't remove responsibility.

I fucking hate proline so fucking much it's the worst amino acid it's so fucking stupid it's incapable of being fucking normal so it forms an ugly ass ring with itself with its own fucking nitrogen cuz it's a loser fucking amino acid I hate it so much I'd rather cut off my right tit than have to ever draw a mechanism with proline ever again
Remember that everyone you meet is fighting their own battle, sometimes with amino acids

my mom had an ENORMOUS euphorbia trigona that was at least 7 ft tall. when it outgrew our house we transported it to my dad's bike shop by using an old door as a "stretcher" lol. I am not sure what happened to it when my dad sold the shop, but I didn't have room for a 7 ft plant when i was 25...
