It's always struck me as strange that cutting of trees and bushes after March is strongly discouraged to protect breeding birds, but you can do as much damage as you want with a mower. Not much left of this Stonechat territory in Trow Quarry #nebirding

14 Little asks from S Shields pier in the last hour. Birds N close in along the breaker line then doubling back at the pier before either dropping onto the sea to reorientate or follow the pier out to sea
