Players were having trouble with getting lost and keeping track of where they've been in some of the game's zones, so I put together a map system complete with custom markers you can place wherever you want as you explore! Update coming soon π

Found a very interesting playthrough of the game on Youtube, can't wait for the rest of the series!

Put out a little update on progress and what all is planned for the next update over on Steam! The game also now has an official Steam Input controller layout and works great on the Steam Deck!

A screenshot of a lore entry being read in game, featuring a normal smooth font instead of the stylized pixel font used in the game currently.
Work is well underway on a large update for the game, aiming to have it out by the end of the month! The big new addition on the way is an in game map, but a lot of QoL additions are coming too, like an option to change the font used for lore entries if the pixelated one is hard on your eyes
Glad you're enjoying the game so much, thanks for checking it out! Good luck on your quest to restore the sky
Hope you have fun with it!
Once Glorious Artahk is discounted for the Steam winter sale! 20+ hours of content for 20% off, be sure to check it out while the deal is on! β¨π

No console release planned, but I am hoping to get a native Mac version released in an update early next year! For now it's only available on windows though, sorry
Hotfix 1.2.1 is now live, make sure your game is up to date!
Small update that fixes a few typos, prevents a rare crash, and adds a small QoL feature to preview what lore entries are in a serial while scrolling through the list

Thanks for checking out the game! I would *not* recommend eating any croissants you find in the city
The reward for solving this puzzle is...a croissant?

It's easy to get lost in this metroidbrainia with its winding world and deep, intriguing lore!
A new update is live on Steam, make sure you game is up to date!
Highlightsβ¨:
-New accessibility option to reduce intensity of the dark overlay on unlit areas
-A few potential softlocks that were discovered have been fixed

I had to go through and make sure that any teleport destination had some kind of exit strategy even if the room was somehow in its default starting state while the player was there, whether that be extra exit points or just a way for the player to die and respawn if they get stuck there
Sure, feel free to DM me if you have specific questions! Biggest lesson I learned from release is that players *will* find a way to do it if it's even hypothetically possible to teleport to a location without a way back set up
Just put out a short update on some future plans for the game! There's also now an official Discord server for anyone that wants to discuss the game or get some help with puzzles! Invite link is right at the top of the article
store.steampowered.com/news/app/339...
The game's been out for almost a week, and it's still super exciting to see people making progress and discussing the puzzles!
If you've been enjoying the game, don't forget to leave a review on the Steam page! It really helps out!
The achievement "Let There Be Light" from the game Once Glorious Artahk, rewarded for reaching the ending of the game. The author forgot to grab a screenshot of the version where the unlock percentage is shown so you'll just have to trust him
The first player has officially beaten the game! ππ
A new update is live on Steam to address player feedback, make sure your game is up to date!
Highlightsβ¨:
-The Beast can now be disabled
-All known softlock edge cases, and any potential unknown ones from a certain ability, should be fixed πΈ
store.steampowered.com/news/app/339...
This ability caused by far the most headaches during development trying to catch every edge case where the player can strand themself without a way back, but it's very cool! πΈ
Final #ScreenshotSaturday post for this project, because it's available now!: store.steampowered.com/app/3390310?...
The dangers of not testing absolutely every single use case when you make a last minute change, the bug that caused the crash only occurred in this one specific interaction even though the object that had caused it appears elsewhere with the same behavior without issue
Hotfix 1.0.2 is now live, make sure your game is up to date!
Small but critical, with a single fix to prevent a crash at a key late game moment π¦

Notice how it's always the CEOs making statements like this and not the people that actually make things
Hotfix 1.0.1 is now live on steam, fixing a few issues that have cropped up since launch! Make sure your game is up to date!
Highlightsβ¨:
-Text scaling at extreme resolutions fixed
-The vine won't kill you anymore
-QoL update to stop The Beast from spawncamping
steamcommunity.com/games/339031...
Turns out it this whole time it wasn't a broad problem with their collision detection with the player, it was one specific one that somehow ended up a fraction of a pixel out of alignment with the grid
Image depicts a terrified looking cat being grabbed by a hand with the caption "YOU"
I FOUND THE VINE THAT'S BEEN KILLING PLAYERS!
(shoutout to the one person who unlocked the boots earlier, you've made it farther than anyone else so far!)
