It was a pleasure to meet today UK Secretary of State Peter Kyle to discuss our priorities in the area of employment and skills.
The 🇬🇧 and 🇪🇺 share a firm commitment to promoting quality jobs and inclusive economic growth.
Today both Parliament and EU Council have agreed to amend the EGF Regulation.
Workers will no longer need to wait until they lose their jobs to receive support in finding new job.
Measures such as career counselling and training will be offered in advance to help them secure new opportunities.
Constructive exchange this afternoon with representatives of BusinessEurope.
Continuous dialogue with businesses and social partners is essential to deliver better policymaking that strengthens resilience and competitiveness.
Companies need the right support to create quality jobs for Europeans.

Good meeting with Olaf Lies, PM of Lower Saxony. We discussed quality jobs in the EU, how to re-and upskill workers facing transition, actions under the #UnionOfSkills, promoting digital and STEM skills, and the Child Guarantee.
Great Meeting today with the Eurochild team led by Tanya Ward. We had a good discussion about key priorities for children in Europe, including how we could strengthen of the European Child Guarantee.

At #WEF26 I met Denis Machuel and Bettina Schaller (Adecco Group) to exchange views on how we can boost cooperation on Europe’s jobs & skills.
