After doing mouse surgeries for 6+ years and wondering if I could use Vetbond on myself, Iโ€™ve finally tried it to close a cut on my thumb. Happy to announce that Iโ€™m still alive.

Even if you didnโ€™t intend to hurt people, even if you didnโ€™t have control over it, why not feel sorry that people were hurt? I think I am fundamentally confused by this allergy to empathizing enough to want to apologize and say Iโ€™m sorry you were hurt

Sometimes I think about what I want to accomplish during my postdoc and it all seems so daunting. Then I look back on my PhD and think that if I was able to do it before, Iโ€™m able to do it again.

Not on my 2026 BINGO card: checking authors' names in the Epstein files before I cite their work in scientific papers.

Just noticed at the end of my paper that since the research was conducted at the NIH (i.e. it's government work), it is not under copyright protection in the US. So why is Nature still charging for the article? Anyway here's a Google drive link of the PDF: drive.google.com/file/d/1bGCy...

The tragic death of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year old mother fatally shot by ICE, shows that ICE canโ€™t be reformed and must be abolished.

Iโ€™ll be introducing the Abolish ICE Act as a step toward justice, accountability, and humanity in our immigration policy.

Time to melt ICE.
