Last week, amid the shutdown, the Trump admin touted the cancelation of 300+ energy grants.
While most were set to benefit projects in Democratic congressional districts, an MSNBC analysis reveals there are also spending casualties tied to at least 20 GOP-held districts.
Rep. Joe Morelle, D-NY, told me Republicans should be “very, very thoughtful, because in the next several days, if they haven’t already, Americans are going to start getting their health insurance premium bills.”
“And when that happens, Republicans are going to have to answer.”
Two days into the government #shutdown, Democrats in Congress are showing little sign of relenting, betting that refocusing the national conversation on health care is a winning gambit for their party.
