Seeing folk praising 2073 and I will not have it. A filmmaker I like. A message and world view I'm broadly in alignment with. However, it is an incoherent and terribly made film, which garbles its points and window-dresses itself with tactlessly repurposed real-life atrocities and tragedies.

I enjoyed this, mainly because a) it fits directly in the niche of films I'm predisposed to like and b) Sam Rockwell is the absolute spot-on choice for this. I don't think it will live long in the collective memory, but it's entertaining and has something to say, even if it's not entirely new.
I liked Wuthering Heights more than Saltburn. But I still did not like Wuthering Heights, which retains the same vapid faux-edginess its director seems to be making her trademark.
Any decent outlet would point out that this sounds like the CEO of Particle6, Eline van der Velden, playing the saddest, shittest, most expensive game of The Sims ever conceived. Fucking tragic nonsense.

Terminator 2 is greatβ¦butβ¦Iβm surprised how in the context of the series Iβm more ambivalent about its legacy. Part of this has to be the insane app-ification of all aspects of your life, especially if you're in your mid 20s or younger and it's nearly always been a thing. Logging everything: location, films, books, music, travel, dinners, health stuff, blah, blah. If you didn't log it, did it even happen?
