Listening to them makes me feel like the stupidest person in the room at any gathering, but that’s a compliment and exactly where I want to be.
I started with a smart tv. Took it apart and removed the antenna and network card. It would give an error when on but function as a TV. I don’t have any other modern appliances but wonder if they have some sort of tamper protection so it doesn’t work if it’s not selling your data….anyone know?

A life lesson from IR:
You cannot effectively stop a breach you haven’t thoroughly scoped.
Similarly, you cannot effectively solve a problem you haven’t sought to fully understand.
In both cases, the gathering process takes time. If you try to rush to a conclusion, you might just make it worse.
