A screencap of a forum post. It reads:

This is my fourth run with Ironsworn since discovering the system in 2021.

One game solo.
One GM-led game with me as GM + 4 players playing bog-standard Ironsworn classic.
One co-op game with me + 1 playing Ironsworn: Starforged.
Just started co-op game with me + 1, with another + 1 friend to be joining, playing Ironsworn classic with a setting shift to ancient Greece.

Every single time I have turned to this system to run a game, as long as I follow its core premises, procedures, and ethos, it has delivered beyond my expectations each time. It's fun, it's engaging, it produces compelling gameplay and narratives.

It's almost . . . eerie, in a sense. Like, there's a secretly a part of me that keeps thinking, "Surely this game can't be this good. Surely it's going to be a let down at some point, or not deliver the goods."

But that secret fear continues to be smashed every time I use Ironsworn in play.

It's a wholly unique experience of its own that is unlike anything else I have played. It delivers a level of energy and engagement that is unique, and frankly rare relative to other roleplaying experiences I've had. Maybe 1-in-3 or 1-in-4 sessions of other games I've played consistently reach that same level of engagement I've seen in nearly every session of Ironsworn I've ever held.

Everything is awful, but this very kind Ironsworn comment over at EN World sure did put some wind in my sails.

This trans teacher has no choice but to leave Florida: 'I can't defend myself' Saoirse Stone says state policies have turned her daily life in an Orlando high school classroom into a series of quiet humiliations.

Florida is doing what it set out to do, make life unlivable for trans people.

The question is always "what if a kid is wrongfully transitioned" and never "what if a trans kid is denied the ability to transition and endures years of excruciating dysphoria and has to have multiple surgeries later in life to fix the issues caused by going through the wrong puberty."

To understand what's happening in Iran today, you have to know about the history of Western intervention in the country.

In the early 1900s, the British secured oil rights in the country until 1993, where they only agreed to pay Iran 16% of the total profits.

This was seen as an unfair deal. 🧵

US military says three of its troops killed in first Iran operation casualties Three U.S. service members have been killed and another five have been seriously wounded, in the first casualties of the unfolding U.S. operations against Iran, the U.S. military said on Sunday.

Reports indicate at least 100 children have already been killed in strikes on schools. That is unconscionable.

Three U.S. service members are dead as a result of this entirely preventable war of choice.

The blood of these service members, these children, and every civilian rests in Trump’s hands.

Third listen of the Mitski album - it definitely sounds like Mitski. It’s a little Father John Mitski sometimes. Album is definitely evil. If I Leave has to be one of the most evil songs she’s ever written for me personally. Great record, really like it, will be avoiding it unless I want to hurt 4/5
