Despite the fact it destroyed me, Playing for Keeps is my favorite book of yours.

And you're quite proud of yourself for inflicting all that emotional damage - as well you should be!

I cannot stop thinking about this book! This week, I've been rereading familiar books because I can't concentrate on anything new!

The man is delusional - and gross, but mostly delusional. My grandmother in the worst of her dementia wasn't as confused

Yes. Plus, I had strep throat and lung inflammation. My husband's been in and out of the hospital. Monday we lost one of our cats to sudden-onset kidney failure.

This book cannot come soon enough! February's been awful so I could really use a new book by one of my favorite authors.

It's all faux outrage anyway. Morality theater. A mask to hide behind so they can claim to be protecting women, children, or whoever, without actually doing anything that would make a real difference.

Of course he hasn't read it. They never interact with any work they want to ban. That would require a level of integrity that they do not possess.

You take care of yourself and get well. That's the most important thing. I'm sad for the delay, but there's something to be said for anticipation too.
