Moreover, Sea-surface aerosols (SSA) highly contribute into delivering OPEs back into the atmosphere, suggesting the relevant role of SSA formation, mediated by the SML enrichment, as a source of semivolatile organic pollutants.
The results, though, also got funny enough: OPEs DO accumulate in the SML, but at a much higher scale in the Southern Ocean compared to the Atlantic.
The funniest part: manually sampling the SML in a viking suit at different locations across the Southern Oceans
