Thank you to everyone who’s helped bring this vision to life. I’m truly honored to share it with you.
Grounded in the science of care, this book explores how to move beyond the either/or choice between self-care and caring for others. It offers a both/and approach—one that fosters well-being, promotes healthy boundaries, strengthens relationships, and can help us navigate the divided times we’re in.
It means a lot to finally share From Self-Care to We-Care: The New Science of Mindful Boundaries and Caring from an Undivided Heart with the world—a book shaped by over a decade of research and heartfelt exploration of the unique challenges of care and boundaries in modern life.
The twist?
Collective narcissism can harm the group it seems to glorify. Focus on image boosting means that the country is seen a brand, rather than a people. Fellow citizens are treated instrumentally, as means to an end.

Happy winter solstice everyone 🌌 May these long nights bring more rest, connection, and clarity—and may we emerge with renewed compassion, both for others and for ourselves
Thanks Jeremy. Nice to e-meet you!
My intention in creating the Tricolor Model was to clarify and broaden what qualifies as a contemplative practice, helping to support a more inclusive and effective mindfulness movement. You can learn more and download it for free here:

These qualities naturally weave together in both formal practice and everyday moments—whether we're sitting in meditation, journaling with a morning tea, or hiking with our dog. The Tricolor Model clarifies how activities become “contemplative” when we bring all three qualities together.
The red path of presence includes both mindfulness and embodied awareness. The green path of compassion emphasizes caring both for ourselves and others. Finally, the blue path of clear seeing is all about debiasing our awareness and learning to perceive our lives in a more truthful way.
Shifting to a new social media platform highlights what values inform our time and focus. But what are we prioritizing more broadly? The Tricolor Model of Contemplative Practices foregrounds three beneficial inner qualities that can be intentionally interwoven and cultivated throughout our lives.
Honored to be interviewed in @jcontemplatives series: “What is Contemplation?” I enjoyed discussing the contemplative cognition framework and the Tricolor Model of Contemplative Practices. You can read it here: contemplativejournal.org/interviews/w...
