I spin fire. Love this pic that was taken of me recently.

Iβve seen it now! π
Any of my followers actually use Big-O as part of work? As best I can tell itβs learn it in college, and get asked about it on job interviews.
The end of a fire staff. Metal rod with Kevlar wick wrapped around it. Thereβs a curved sewing needle in the wick.
My first time seeing fire wicks. Iβve had this staff for many years. On the few occasions Iβve rewicked a tool, Iβve just used a bare screw & washer. This method prevents hot metal bits being exposed. Itβs a little looser than pro job, but I did it myself!
We get tons of junkos! Weβve had lots of them make nests and hatch babes in our yard β€οΈ
A man wearing a pink t shirt that says βa silly what houndβ and has a goofy drawing of a silken windhound. A black and white dog with an impossibly long nose is giving the man kisses.
A black and white dog is curled into an awkward ball on the couch. Itβs difficult to tell where all the limbs are attached.
A black and white dog is stand on stairs and staring out the window. Sometimes the void stares back.
Say hi to our new fur baby, River! Like most #silkenwindhounds she is capable of being both very small and very long. I love being a retirement home to these dogs.
Had an old work colleague reach out for a referral. Nice happy moment remembering one of my favorite people to work with. (Also, Iβm looking for work as well)
Last night I spun fire at a Burningman party, this morning I watched the Brazil F1 race, this afternoon is chainsaw work on my back hill, and tonight is making tortillas from scratch. I might have enough hobbies.
Reinstalled the bird app temporarily. When I left that place I hadnβt added my tech folks here, so now Iβm scraping through my old follow list and flipping back and forth.
My tortilla skills are improving.
Three happy people about to go snorkeling off Prison Island. The water is clear and beautiful.
Me crouched down petting the neck of a tortoise
An old wall completely covered in roots of a tree that appears to grow from the top of the wall
Narrow streets in Stone Town, the walkway disappears around an odd angled corner. It would be very easy to get lost here.
Second full day in Zanzibar, did walking tour of Stone Town, and Prison Island (tortoises!) & snorkeling today.
A plane is parked on snow as far as the eye can see.
A man wearing a face mask covered in flowers. Eyes barely open and clearly tired. Photo is in the lounge at Addis airport in Ethiopia.
The front of the international airport in Zanzibar
A very intricately tiled shower in blue and white. The mix of curved and straight lines with the small repeating pattern is wild
Overnight in Chicago was uh, very frosty and were very lucky the snow didnβt mess up the plans. Had about an 80f degree swing from temp there to the temp here in Zanzibar.
Headed out this morning for a wild vacation. Almost two weeks in Tanzania! Iβll be posting some pics here. Really looking forward to the warm beaches in Zanzibar especially after the freezing overnight layover we have in Chicago tonight π€£
A white dog with a very long nose. He is wearing a headband with reindeer antlers and a small Santa hat.
Gilbert is a holiday noodle and would like a boop. #silkenwindhound
A cat with its front paws tucked inside a shoe
Little weirdo. He regularly sniffs shoes, here he curled up and put both paws inside my shoe.
