I listened twice to the end of this piece about Fela Kuti's use of counterpoint and its influence on Brian Eno and David Byrne. Fascinating musically but also Byrne talking about its influence on him personally makes me think about games... 🧵1/

I've heard the same about solo board games. Once I had a games critic ask me if I needed to do better components or some-such to convince folks to buy a solo game, and don't I worry about the sales?

Fun fact: solo games easily outsell multiplayer! It's a huge & happy market of joyful people!

All Is Bomb 2nd Edition development thought: It's always such a relief and a surprise when an expansion or a variant that I thought would need even more cards to truly work, becomes instantly better when minimised instead. Speaks a lot about what actually makes the system tick.

For those who want to just dip their toes into the core set, I’m simply wondering if the gameplay loop is satisfying / if the rules are clear. But I’d love for people to also dive into the expansions. For those, I have much more specific questions :)

I had a bit of a breakthrough with the second edition of my solo card game All Is Bomb. Printed out a new batch of cards and trying new expansion. I'm very excited about finishing the game :)

i've been working with Michael on this for a year and a half and it's really good and it would mean a lot to me if you tried it out and told me about your experience!!! or even posted a video or something if you want!!

Yeah, each illustration should be solvable, but please note that this is VERY vibey and also, that it expects music theory knowledge from the solvers. I apologise for the high entry cost, I just made something small and personal. Also, haven't played Death Howl, so nope :)
