sure, nail painting has been socially constructed as feminine. this construct isn’t neutral (many constructs aren’t) & it has damaging impacts all around (as many constructs do): some women are pressured to conform, some men want to paint their nails but are then told it has to “mean” something

panting one’s nails is not inherently masc or femme. gender is a social construct. anyone can paint their nails. not sure if has to “mean” anything other than the person likes it. i don’t think it’s your intention, but the way you’re talking about it comes across as gender policing, tbh
