Wow, lucky you π
Man, I'm in Donegal until 21st π
Wow! Saw my first ever one of these on Sunday. Is it quite easy to see in your area Donna?
There's lots of it on the slacks at Mullaghmore in Sligo, it's quite a sight.

Very pleased to have spotted this hungry Narrow-bordered Bee Hawkmoth today at Cotswold Water Park.
Didn't realise how scarce it is at the time! But was certain I'd never seen one before, so got photos to help identify it.
Cheers James Hunter for confirmation π
Spider black on top with clear white line around its whole body, and pale brown legs with black spiky hairs on.
Reckon the might be a male Philodromus dispar, on my kitchen floor today, then let him loose in the garden. Beautiful π
Confirmation appreciated π
Local birding in S Cambs has been great the last couple of weeks. Here are some of my highlights. #birds #birding @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social
First flight?
(do you see what I did there?)
Fluffy Dandeloin head in seed, which, when blown, is, by legend, supposed to tell the time - however many times you have to blow to remove all the seeds, that is the hour of the day.
What time is it?
An orchid flower of green and dark red with two petals held upright above the flower like the ears of a hare
Hare Orchid - Leporella fimbriata
One of the first orchids of the season to flower in our Perth Hills area. Happy to see a handful of freshly opened flowers today with more buds yet to open πΏ

Meh π only good gulls are Ross's, Little, Kittiwake and Sabs. Common is nice though.
See you at the next GBHG so we can debate it in person π
It's more of a little finger bird than a kidney π
I'm with you on the other three, but why does everyone get excited about Ivory Gull lol
Nightingale in mid-song
A fleeting glimpse of the beautiful rust-coloured tail of a Nightingale
Oak, Hazel and Bluebells
The first flowers of Wood Melick, spikes of dark chestnut against an intense yellow-green background
Favourite moments from this morning's walk at Castor Hanglands NNR- a chorus of Nightingales, cool pools of Bluebells under rugged oaks and the first flowers of Wood Melick, possibly the most elegant of woodland grasses...

Very instructive video! Song half Willow Warbler, half Cettis!

Hmm, isn't that a brand rather than a piece of intellectual property?
"Designing" an identical car with identical features should be your goal.
Eyes like a Lynx, that man!
Only ever seen this species after lots of flipping of rocks.
There's no Willow Warbler calling or singing in the video?
I can hear what sounds like Goldfinch?
Agreed
incubacea much more spheg-like?
I meant a Mottled Grasshopper of course, though it was pretty Mootled by the time the spider had finished π
Black-and-white patterned spider
Black-and-white patterned spider
Thanks to Kevin McGee for sharing his find with me: - extremely rare in the Midlands, only one previous record. At least three Steatoda albomaculata, white-spotted False Widow, today at Hartlebury Common ππ this one making short work of a Mootled Grasshopper nymph.
Better pics to follow
Great find @alanch57.bsky.social π
