As sum1 who works in ent I can tell you representation matters. Seeing yourself represented in media matters. Ppl complain Bad Bunny’s performance wasn’t a revolution. It was never meant to be. It was meant to let the world know we are here and we matter. That is a piece of the puzzle to revolution.

Whew! Outline done and sent to the director. I imagine this is what my main character feels like at the end of the story. Epic and triumphant. And in need of a shot.
Yesteray I had drinks with my director and the president of the production company I will be working with. I was so worried about my fit I changed it twice like I’m on a first date. Prez showed up in a t-shirt and basketball shorts.

Had an amazing conversation with an indie director on getting my script set up. Strategy is in place to make it happen. Unless anyone has a spare million they’d like to invest 😅
Mssgd my producer a story beat I came up with then walked away from my computer. When I came back I saw my mssg and thought it was the producer pitching my beat back to me and I responded, “Yes, that’s what I was thinking.” I responded to myself. 🤦🏽♂️

Wrote a short script that was extremely personal and ended up breaking down. Guess I was holding on to something I needed to release. Now I’m determined to get this made.

Anyone else find it hard to focus on writing with the world burning down around you? Both literally and metaphorically.
I don’t know why imposter syndrome kicks in the hardest when you’re just trying to send “let’s grab coffee and catch up” emails.
Exactly. As long as it’s a fun adventure I don’t need it to be anything groundbreaking.
I feel that. There are no limits back then. Now everything has to slot into the franchise perfectly.
That being said, I am enjoying Skeleton Crew aka Space Goonies.
It’s giving WandaVision. Which I thoroughly enjoyed, but some of the fan theories were way more fun than what we ultimately got.
That’s a fascinating theory. I just figured the planet was hidden away by the old republic because it was made out of some valuable ore.
I remember watching an interview with Jackie Chan forever ago and he was like, “The plot to every Kung-fu movie is, man walks down the street and sees another man and asks ‘why you look at me?’ Fight-fight-fight! Then man keeps walking and sees another man. ‘Why you look at me?!’ Fight-fight-fight”
This makes sense tho it still caught me a bit by surprise that my top album on Apple Music is Brown Noise because that’s what I listen to while writing.
