Trump has demonstrated you can just do things as a politician. But for whatever reason, dems pretend the government is incapable of moving quickly. They’d rather stall and run poorly funded means-tested programs than offer real assistance. I understand why uneducated folk feel disrespected by that.

Biden was objectively among our best presidents but that’s only because the bar is in hell. I think people want their leaders to meet the moment. People desperately need housing and healthcare, which Biden didn’t meaningfully help with as he respected institutional bureaucracy more than Americans.

Yeah I mentioned this in the other comments in the thread. Tetris is good advice and chronic exposure can absolutely cause PTSD.

Chronic exposure can absolutely cause PTSD, especially complex PTSD. We see this with underpaid content moderation reviewers. My confusion is with the claim that seeing a non-contextualized graphic image one time (or very occasionally) causes PTSD. I agree it’s bad for mental health regardless.

Now, I don’t doubt for a second that someone working in content moderation for Facebook could develop PTSD from their job. But we’re talking about a normal person coming across a war photo on the timeline, right? Theres no chronic exposure in that case.

People get PTSD from seeing images?? I have PTSD, and I’ve seen a lottt of gore posted online over the years. Maybe I’m desensitized, but I feel like there’s a meaningful difference in experience. I really can’t wrap my head around media viewed in the comfort of one’s home causing PTSD in adults.

Anthropic just did what no other AI company has done - they stood up to our administration and publicly acknowledged their product’s limitations. This makes me glad that when I resort to using AI it’s with Claude. It’s a low bar to clear but I’m happy to see someone do it.

Leica L-Mount and m43 have been trying to do this for quite some time.

Canon actively blocks third party manufacturers, and PL is more niche. I get it though. I’m on Nikon Z and Fujifilm X-mount. Both are sooo much lower priority than Sony FE.
