This is my thought about a lot of gen AI applications.

You let ChatGPT write your wedding vows? Your college essay? Your job application?

You clearly don't actually want to get married / graduated / hired. Have you considered maybe trying to find happiness somewhere else?

Help Save Leicestershire’s Bronze Age Torc Help us raise Β£10,000 towards Leicestershire Museums' acquisition of this unique object so that it can remain in the public domain.

There's only 25 days left to raise the money needed to Save Leicestershire’s Bronze Age Torc - please donate if you can. Keeping objects like that in small regional museums is vital for community heritage.

Please support the petition against the planned #closure of #Archaeology at the Humboldt-UniversitΓ€t zu Berlin.
Archaeology has been a part of Humboldt-UniversitΓ€t academic tradition for almost 200 years, so closing it would break a long-standing research tradition

If you can, please help a Bronze Age gold torc find its way into a local museum for the enjoyment of everyone rather than ending up at the hands of private collectors

What this prune desperately wants to say is β€˜people who are not white’. And as this interview clip demonstrates, any amount of data from credible sources won’t be able to shift this depth of very British racism. Because ideology over truth, right?

The move in recent years for a number of UK universities to do this is disgusting and unjust. Sheffield management isn’t alone, but they are a disgrace. Only a leadership team that has utter contempt for their staff & doesn’t care a jot about ongoing relations and morale would do this.

Well that’s me locked out. No pay for the foreseeable future, all because I refuse to reschedule lost teaching, for which I have already lost pay as part of the strike. Please donate to support @sheffielducu.bsky.social members like me at www.gofundme.com/f/heubvb-sup...

This is your reminder that Hungarian-Jewish scientist George de Hevesy dissolved two Nobel Prizes in aqua regia to keep them out of the hands of the Nazis.

He then left the dissolved solution on his shelf and fled to Sweden.

(After the war he un-dissolved the gold and the prizes were re-cast.)

I am very sorry to hear this Kayt. This is really disturbing behaviour and more so in conjunction with the complete lack of transparency and communication from the board. Solidarity.
