A decision by NC counties to accept dead voters’ ballots upsets some, unites others Are ballots valid if voters die before Election Day? The state seems to say no. That hasn’t stopped some officials from counting them anyway.

Should votes from those who die between the time they cast their vote (think absentee ballot or early in-person voting) and Election Day be counted? Some states fall one way, some fall the other, and even more states are undecided.

Voter turnout in Pa. hits highest marks in decades: Dept. of State HARRISBURG — New data released by the Pennsylvania Department of State shows voter participation in the fall 2024 presidential election reached record highs.
