What I find interesting is the fact that I got a spam text from ActBlue claiming to be that (alleged) rapist Al Franken saying that he is endorsing her for US Senate and asking for donations, as if his input would actually help more than hurt his campaign.
If she loses, I'm mostly blaming him.

Exactly. Biden's entire term as president showed us that we can't trust the current politicians in the Democratic Party to actually hold Republicans accountable for their crimes because most would rather "reach across the aisle" to "gain" more voters than do the right thing.

I ended up having to block someone because I wasn't pro-AOC enough, just because I slightly criticized some of her policies.
It really is amazing how that craziness doesn't just apply to leftists. Even some progressives and liberals can be that crazy on this site as well.
It's basically like how over a decade ago (and sometimes still today) people online were called "ableist" for calling out someone who happened to be autistic for being an asshole, basically saying that you couldn't criticize any autistic people.
It really is sad how little times have changed.
It hasn't happened to me yet, but I remember seeing it on Twitter and Tumblr a while back when I still had those accounts and I remember the post that you replied to being applied to autistic people because some wanted to be assholes and blame it on their disability, shirking any responsibility.

Exactly. I wouldn't doubt that these people who attended the DNC in 2024 would say the same things now. The Venn Diagram between conservative Democrats and "moderate" Republicans is so close that it is almost a single circle at this point.

They know their audience and make sure to keep themselves updated about which site to use
The fact that there are way too many trans people who are willing to ignore his vile hatred of them is what I find most disappointing. The fact that many of the ppl who block me when I make an anti-Newsom reply have the trans flag in their username just continues to sadden me every time it happens.
There's a reason why they are fighting so hard to make sure Gavin Newsom becomes the next president. They know how much he absolutely despises transgender people, and truly believe that that hatred will help them in that race in 2028.
Even though my sister was conned into moving there a decade ago by her now ex-boyfriend and has lived there for so long that she now feels stuck there, given that the best that MI Dems could get to represent them in the Senate is a right-wing ex-CIA agent, I don't have high hopes for that state.
We really should be encouraging people to primary those two, instead of attacking anyone who even just dares to make that suggestion. Neither of those two deserves to hold office anymore. They have continually shown themselves to be wholly ineffective at combating fascism.
My uncle who agrees with the vast majority of what I say, up until we talk about AI. I remember seeing a post of his about the increase in people's electricity bills, and I told him how AI data centers are one of the main reasons for it. He still refuses to stop using Meta's AI image generator.
